travel
it is not worth the while to go round the world to count the cats in zanzibar.
— Henry David Thoreau, Walden
travel is more than a destination - there is such a psychological aspect to it. so often people think of the psychological element in the wrong way, as in, traveling will change something, just in and of itself. however, you don’t always have to go far to travel, especially when you think about it in reverse - how much is “traveling” really just a psychological state? how much of it is so inextricably linked to going somewhere far away, to being at a hotel, or being on a flight.
there is so much nearby, waiting for you to notice.
