stelle scopa

i came across a magical looking deck of cards called “stelle scopa”. they came with a zine explaing their usage, history, and relationship to their creator. i was swept away (pun intended) by the scopa deck (scopa means “broom” in italian) as well as the history of the deck.

if you get a chance to play with them or perform cartomancy, i highly recommend it - there is something obviously magical about the deck, as an object.

one of the uses of the deck is to play the traditional card game scopa - which dates back to the 18th century. scopa, as a game, is a simple and relaxing card game.
